After running into an error doing the maven build this evening, I thought I would try to load up the server code in STS - the SpringSource version of Eclipse. I could not see how to update the workspace I had from about 3 weeks ago - when I tried, a bunch of modules seemed to be duplicated, with minor variations in capitalization. So I blew away the workspace and started over. That fails to build because it's not getting the common module. So I did an update of STS (there was indeed a new git module for maven), blew away the workspace again, and loaded up the maven project a third time. Still no common module.
I'm loading this from a local clone, which does have the common module. What am I doing wrong?
I must say, I'm not overwhelmed yet by the usability of this tool stack. I've been poking through the STS and maven websites trying to figure out how to get this to work. The Eclipse "project" abstraction seems to be useless for maven projects. The only thing that seems to be relevant is Project->Update all Maven dependencies. That does nothing that I can detect. Any advice?
