Timeslot notifications?

In the earlier version of the server, I had some idea how components found out about the passage of time, so they could take some action, for example, at the beginning of each timeslot. With the new server, I cannot see how this is supposed to happen. I expected to see a competitionNewTimeslot method that takes a Timeslot instance, or something similar, in CompetitionBaseEvents.java, but I don't. By the way, the name of that interface is misleading, in my opinion - it should be something like CompetitionEventListener because it's the set of methods that listen for competition events.

Yes, I like your proposed name and I see the need for the need for something like a timeslotChanged() event. Do we need to have to separate events, i.e. timeslotChanged (e.g. an existing timeslot is closed) and newTimeslot (e.g. a new timeslot is created? Or can we handle this in one single timeslotChanged() event?
